Augmented Reality Peace Poster
United Nations

The United Nations is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. To mark this special occasion, the UN Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA) and Artivive launched a call to create posters about peacemaking and peacebuilding, which also utilize augmented reality technology.

The AR peace poster «what if peace was a state» plays with our imagination and makes us think about peace from a different perspective.

In collaboration with Antonia Uhlig and Leo Dziallas.

The project raises the question what if peace would be some kind of shape which resembles everything peace itself stands for. Not only the absence of war but the wellbeing of everybody and dignity. What would it look like? How would it smell, sound, taste and feel like? What if peace was some kind of state? The purest state we can imagine. A state that never rests and that lets you be whoever you want to be. «what if peace was a state» addresses our innermost part and makes us connect to our demand to live in peace.
